Client Overview
AMI Entertainment Network sells entertainment technology to bars, restaurants and venues: interactive trivia, jukeboxes and licensed music. AMI Trivia is self-running TV trivia with no host and no audio, played by patrons in a free phone app, with 20 categories, a new game every 20 minutes, and national leaderboards and tournaments. The jukebox pitch is simpler: jukeboxes that make you money.
Both products answer the same problem for a venue owner: slow nights, low customer engagement and missed revenue. But the people looking for them are searching for different things. Someone searching for trivia wants to fill slow nights, bring back repeat customers or start a weekly event. Someone searching for a jukebox is more focused on a new revenue stream, music for customers, or a no-cost entertainment product for the venue.
The buyer is the owner or manager of a small independent bar or pub, plus Legions, VFWs and Elks. Jumpstart ROI runs AMI's Google Ads and, since February 2025, its Meta ads.
The Challenge
Two products, two kinds of search intent
AMI had multiple product categories, each serving a slightly different customer intent. An account that treats trivia and jukebox traffic the same can't show which product line is producing leads, or where the next dollar should go. AMI needed to capture venue owners already searching for trivia systems, jukeboxes and music products, and see results by service line.
A new product with a blank slate on social
AMI was relaunching its trivia product with no social following, no social ad history and no pixel data. At launch, the sign-up form did not redirect to a thank-you page, so conversions could not be measured cleanly. The target for the main Trivia campaign on Meta is $40 per lead.
A niche buyer
Bar and restaurant owners are a specific audience, and competition from other bar trivia and game providers keeps growing. Paid traffic had to be judged on leads, not clicks.
What We Did
Google Ads: one campaign per product and intent
Search - Trivia. A dedicated Search campaign for venue owners and operators actively looking for trivia solutions to bring more people in and keep customers engaged longer. Ads lead with the trivia offer, such as "TV Trivia For Bars - Boost Rev - Host Trivia Tournaments Now."
Search - Trivia - Dynamic. Dynamic Search to capture relevant trivia searches the core campaign's keywords did not cover.
Search - Jukebox. A separate Search campaign for people looking for jukebox products and entertainment that creates an additional revenue stream for their venue.
Demand Gen - YouTube. A YouTube campaign to build awareness and reach venue owners earlier in the buying journey, supporting the Search campaigns.
Managed for leads, not traffic. Budget moved toward the highest-performing campaigns, with conversion volume, cost per conversion, CTR, CPC and impression share monitored by product line.
Meta Ads: building a new channel for AMI Trivia
Built the tracking first. A thank-you page went live on February 20, 2025 and conversion tracking moved onto it. We installed the Meta pixel and, in April 2025, fed booked calls back into Meta through a Calendly integration.
Launched on one idea and kept testing. USA National Leads launched on February 18, 2025 with static creative built around "pack your bar on slow nights," followed by bi-weekly creative testing, city campaigns, remarketing and tradeshow campaigns.
Rebuilt the page and campaign in 2026. After a cookie banner blocked tracking and conversions in August 2026, we built a new demo page with no navigation, no cookie banner and one clear action, and rebuilt the main campaign on it with refreshed creative.
The Results
Google Ads, across the enabled campaigns, as shown in the account's all-time view:
726.93 conversions from 17,525 clicks
$125.51 average cost per conversion on $91,240.66 spend
254,133 impressions at a 6.90% click-through rate
By campaign:
Search - Trivia: 411.09 conversions · 10,162 clicks · 10.58% CTR · $111.98 per conversion · $46,031.72 spend
Search - Jukebox: 287.66 conversions · 3,871 clicks · 12.19% CTR · $138.49 per conversion · $39,836.10 spend
Search - Trivia - Dynamic: 21.83 conversions · 632 clicks · 11.85% CTR · $117.76 per conversion · $2,571.18 spend
Demand Gen - YouTube: 6.36 conversions · 2,860 clicks · 121,005 impressions · $440.61 per conversion · $2,801.66 spend
Search did the heavy lifting. Search - Trivia was the top conversion driver, and Search - Jukebox added strong volume at the highest click-through rate in the account. YouTube converted at a higher cost, but delivered 121,005 impressions to keep AMI visible to a broader audience.
Meta Ads (Meta pixel Lead event, a demo or trial form submission, not a qualified lead):
114 leads at $14.52 per lead on $1,654.87 spend, March 10 to April 6, 2025
Weekly cost per lead fell from $26.09 and $32.63 in the first two weeks to between $12.36 and $18.27 from March 3 to April 6, 2025
42 leads at $39.76 and 10 booked meetings, June 8 to 21, 2026, under the $40 goal
22 booked meetings in June 2026 at $163.25 each
A note on how we count. Google figures are Google Ads conversions across the enabled campaigns. Meta booked meetings are a separate Calendly event; the Meta campaign is optimized on the Lead event.
Top-Performing Ads
Google Ads search ads, sending clicks to amientertainment.com/trivia-system:
TV Trivia For Bars - Boost Rev - Host Trivia Tournaments Now
Interactive Trivia For Venues - Enhance Venue Atmosphere
Both run in Search - Trivia, the campaign behind 411.09 conversions at a 10.58% click-through rate. The ads promise what a bar owner is searching for, more revenue and a better room, and the descriptions add easy setup, 24/7 support and a free trial.
Meta ads, March 10 to April 6, 2025:
Static - creative 1, "Pack Your Bar on Slow Nights with TRIVIA": 66 leads · $13.99 per lead · $923.61 spend
Static - creative 4, "Bar Owners: Trivia That Pays for Itself!": 25 leads · $12.80 per lead · $320.11 spend
Video 1 - original, "More customers, more drinks": 16 leads · $12.45 per lead · $199.20 spend

Key Outcomes
Produced 726.93 Google Ads conversions at $125.51 per conversion
Split Google Ads by product and intent, so trivia and jukebox results are tracked separately
Made Search - Trivia the top driver at 411.09 conversions and $111.98 per conversion
Built Search - Jukebox to 287.66 conversions at a 12.19% click-through rate
Launched AMI Trivia on Meta from no audience to 114 leads at $14.52
Rebuilt the Meta landing page and campaign in 2026 and got back under the $40 goal at $39.76
The Bottom Line
AMI sells two products that venue owners search for in different ways. On Google, we gave trivia and jukebox their own campaigns, added Dynamic Search and YouTube around them, and pushed budget to what converted: 726.93 conversions at $125.51 each. On Meta, we launched a new trivia product from a blank slate to 114 leads at $14.52, then rebuilt the page and campaign in 2026 to get back under the $40 goal.
