How much should you spend on ads?

I get asked this question at least 10x per week…

I always reply with “How many appointments or how much revenue do you want?”

Because it totally depends on your goals.

If you’re already running ads and are profitable, if you can handle the volume, spend more.

If you’re just starting out, the short answer is 99% of our clients start with $2,000-3,000/month or $75-100/day.

The longer answer is, figure out what your can afford to pay to acquire a customer.

Then work backwards using your estimated close rate and show rate to figure out how many appointments you need to generate to hit your goal.

Cost per appointment will vary, but $100-200 is usually a conservative ballpark. (if your offer is super high ticket or some super niche B2B service, estimate higher)

If there’s existing search intent for your offer on Google, you can run a forecast which will tell you what to expect for a CPC, which you can then use to estimate your cost / conversion.

The best marketers don’t start with budget… they start with outcomes.

Figure out where you want to go, and your ad spend becomes the vehicle to get you there.
